The culmination of the Final of the National Level Musabaqah Al-Qur'an Reading for Adults was the presentation of prizes to the winners and participants. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam presented the prizes. The ceremony took place at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre, Berakas.
Also in attendance were His Majesty's sons and brothers: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; And His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
Upon arrival His Majesty was greeted by; Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar, Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health as Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; And Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and members of the Musabaqah Executive Committee.
The ceremony commenced with a reading by the invited Qari and Qariah an exemplary family who love Al-Qur'an from Malaysia.
The Minister of Religious Affairs in his welcoming address touched on the increasing number of children learning muqaddam and Al-Qur'an at mosques nationwide. He added that this is a very positive sign that the country is on the correct platform towards producing Al-Qur'an literate citizens and residents.
Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Ali, Chairman of the Jury Panel while announcing the musabaqah results urges for the participants to continue delving into al-Qur'an knowledge to enhance the quality of reading.
Champion Qari was Awang Ahmad Zulwaqar bin Haji Suhaili.
The champion Qariah was Dayangku Siti Ummi Syazana binti Pengiran Haji Marjuki.
The Champion Qari received a $7,000 cash prize, A Haj Package for the first time champion, the Challenge Trophy; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; an Umrah Package worth $5,000 from Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sendirian Berhad, A $5,000 Tekad Haji savings account from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sendirian Berhad and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad as well as a Brunei Woven Cloth sponsored by Syarikat Little Ummi.
The second placed Qari, Awangku Adi Nazri bin Pengiran Haji Jofri, received a cash prize of $5,000; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; as well as a Tekad Haji savings account worth $2,500 from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad.
Pengiran Muhd Amirul Aiman bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki in third place received $3,000; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; and a Tekad Haji savings account worth $1,500 from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad.
The Qariah champion received a $7,000 cash prize; the Challenge Trophy; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; an Umrah Package worth $5,000 from Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sendirian Berhad, a Tekad Haji savings account worth $5,000 from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sendirian Berhad and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad as well as a Brunei Woven Cloth sponsored by Syarikat Little Ummi.

Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
This year's Musabaqah was jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sendirian Berhad.
